A Heavy Facebook Feed

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! – Hebrews 10:35 (NLT)

My Facebook feed is a little gloomy today. It’s full of friends, family and acquaintances going through some of the toughest times of their life. So many gut-wrenching circumstances to pray over it’s overwhelming really.

Today my heart is heavy for those hurting around me.

I’m compelled to give my sisters a shout out from those mountain tops that seem too big to overcome – those mountains we’ve been begging God to move.

I don’t know what your struggle is today.

But, I do know our God is bigger.

And, bigger is better.

He knows what you’re going through. He meets you where you are. He sees your pain, bottles up your tears, and hears your prayers. I’m not sure what this day, this week, this month, or this year holds for you. Chances are it might be difficult, and tough, and maybe even painful. But our God is bigger than it all.

Over and over again, Scripture speaks to us about these difficult times in our lives.

Don’t be afraid. John 6:20

God is with you. 2 Corinthians 6:16

Trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5

Lean in to His peace. John 14:27

In Hebrews 10:35-36, we’re reminded to hold steadfast to our confident trust in the Lord. I know that’s difficult, especially when it seems life is unraveling right before our eyes. But, in verse 36 we get a recipe for hope. Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all he has promised. – Hebrews 10:36 (NLT)

Is your trust in the Lord confident today? Do you have patient endurance?

Let’s regroup. Let’s remember how unbelievably amazing our God is. Let’s be patient in this season of our journey, and let’s trust Him with confidence today.
